Regina Hansen
It is with great sadness that the family of Regina M. Hansen announces her passing on March 1st, 2017. Daughter of the late Mary and Alexander Kertes, Regina was born in New York City, and resided in Fords, NJ for most of her adult life. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Louis T. Hansen who died in June 2016. Regina leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved children, Louise Hansen, Marianne Cawley and husband Michael, Kathy Innocenti and husband David, Gina Shaffer and husband Michael. Regina will also be fondly remembered by her 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Alexandra, Lauren, Ryan, Logan, Morgan, Shawn, Elise, Autumn, Randy and Alex; and six darling great grandchildren, Collin, Gabriella, Makenna, Keira, Clara and Carter. Regina was endearingly called Nanny by her family. She was a gourmet cook and talented baker. Her love of cooking was enjoyed by all on family holidays and celebrations. Regina traveled on many beautiful ocean cruises and had a love of swimming.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 at 11:30am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 800 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch, NJ. Interment to follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery located on 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ
