Obituary for Mark Wojcik

Mark  Wojcik
Mark Eugene Wojcik, 54, of Ocean Township, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 7, 1962. He grew up in Middletown and was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and the Rutgers College of Pharmacy. He was married to his loving wife, Cathleen M. Marino on September 3, 1989.
Throughout Mark’s illustrious career, he was a leader in the healthcare industry as a pharmaceutical scientist with many years at Vector Pharmaceutical Services. His passions included music and sports. He was an established musician at the Jersey Shore for over 30 years with his band, The Perfect Square. He was an avid Yankees, Rangers and Giants fan and enjoyed watching and going to games with his family. Mark will always be remembered for his kind and gentle way and his compassion towards others. He will be deeply missed, but always in the hearts and memories of his family and friends.
Mark is predeceased by his in-laws, Anthony and Mary Marino, his sister-in-law, Linda Drum and his grandparents, Frank and Helen Wojcik and Caroline Bajek.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; his beloved children Cara, Caitlyn and Mark; his parents, Eugene and Carol Wojcik; his siblings, Paul Wojcik and partner Darlene Ferro, Matthew Wojcik and his wife Carol Ann, Carolyn Finer and her husband Jim, Andrew Wojcik and his wife Suzanne; his brother-in-law Anthony Marino and his wife Lisa and his 14 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township, NJ 07755. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home during visitation hours. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Mark’s love for music, donations may be made to Monmouth University’s Blue Hawks Records, https://cms.monmouth.edu/giveMarkWojcik, which supports hands-on student experience in creating new music. There will be an informal gathering at the Windandsea, 56 Shrewsbury Ave. Highlands, NJ, on Friday, August 18th from 6-10 PM where Mark’s band will be performing in his memory.
