Lisa J. Brown
Lisa J. Brown, 54, of Wanamassa, died peacefully at home, after a long illness, with her husband Stephen at her side.
She was born in Yonkers, NY and lived in Ocean Township most of her life.
Among her many interests Lisa enjoyed gardening, music and the beach. But the greatest joy came from spending time with her family. The bond she had with her mother, Jean, was beyond what words can describe. As a woman, her will and strength was matched only by her capacity for kindness and love. As a mom, she stood in your corner supporting and rooting for whatever personal endeavor you were exploring. She believed in you unconditionally and it fostered confidence you didn't even know you had. Despite everything she was confronted with on a daily basis, her strength and positive attitude never waivered. The Brown family would like to thank Dr. Seth Cohen, Eileen and the staff at Monmouth Medical for their wonderful care over the years. And also to the VNA for their care and compassion in the recent months.
She was predeceased by her father, Gerard Hansen and a brother, Gerard Hansen.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 29 years, Stephen; 2 children, Jake and Katherine; her mother, Jean Hansen; sister, Nicole and her husband Keith Martinez; brothers, Richard and his wife Kathleen and James and his wife Debra; sister-in-law, Linda Hansen; mother and father-in-law, Gene and Joanne Brown, brothers-in-law, Michael Brown and Christopher and his wife Susan Brown; sister-in-law, Suzanne and her husband Tony Condo and 4 nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Asbury Park.
