Gregory B. Hertling 50, of Ocean Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. He was born in Summit and was a resident of Ocean Township for over 40 years.
Survived by his adoring wife, Linda Ozut Hertling and beautiful children , Zachary, Brittany and Ella Grace; his brothers, Robert and his wife Danielle Hertling, Douglas and his companion Kelly; his sister, Michelle and her husband Joseph Siegfried; his brothers and sisters in law along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Josephine Hertling and his in laws Peter and Barbara Ozut.
Beloved by his family and the Ocean Township community, Greg was his children’s biggest supporter generously donating his time to coach their local teams. One could always rely on him to be at every match and game cheering on his children. Greg graduated from Ocean Township High School in 1985 where he played for the Big Red football team. His circle of friends meant the world to him. He cherished many lifelong friendships and the memories they shared. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a love for gardening and entertaining at home. He was always the best host and known for his pina coladas. He enjoyed countless years of travel with his family to his favorite place and he became known as Dr. Disney. Greg's spirit and laughter will be deeply missed.
He owned Apex Health Group in Eatontown.
Adored by all, loving husband, father and friend, always the life of the party.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township.
